Supplements
"I used a lot of supplements during the past 10 years. I would say I used everything and I can tell you, that more than 95% of all supplements are flops. It's always only hype til the people are noticing, that the most supps don't work. So forget what you are reading in all the magazines about the "new perfect dietary supplement for maximum muscle gain and maximum fat loss" (LOL). Don't believe this crap, it's only hype. Stay with the basics [...]"

-IFBB Pro Bodybuilder Andreas Frey

Let's face the facts. The supplement indusry is a billion dollar machine. Chances are you've used supplements before, whether it be a muscle building substance, fatloss pill, cleansing combo, sexual enhancer, acne cure, or whatever else! There are supplements that promise quick fixes for just about everything.

Unfortunately, the reason for this is because consumers, by-and-large, are lazy and would rather spend money than invest hard work. The truth about sport, diet, and health supplementation is quite simple - supplements are meant to supplement your already existing routine and diet. They can not replace basic requirements such as a good diet, solid exercise program, or healthy lifestyle. Always keep that in mind and you will avoid many of the psychological downfalls that relying on supplements causes many people.

Furthermore, never listen to a supplement company when it comes to claims about what their product can do. This should be obvious to some, but many people believe that a supplement company must have some form of substance to back up their claims of "lose 7 pounds in 7 days" or "increase your bench press by 300%." The reality is, the companies can basically claim whatever they want as long as they don't claim to cure or treat actual disease. With that said, use objective sources such as actual clinical research, independent user feedback, and professional opinions as your primary source of information.
